Still can't boot to redhat 7.0

i re-installed redhat 7.0 and at the end of the installation i created the boot disk and i still can't get into rehat. It just goes straight to win2k with or without the boot disc. Everything was successful during the installation including the creation of the boot disk. i can boot using my windows floppy.

Is it actually booting from your windows floppy or is it bypassing the disk and booting normally. If you are putting in a bootdisk and your computer ignores it by not booting from it or even offering an error code, my guess would be that you need to make sure that your computer is setup to try to boot from a floppy before it tries to boot from a harddrive. Check your BIOS.

it is actually only booting with my windows floppy and bypassing the linux boot disk. when i try to c what files are inside the boot disk in windows 2k it tells won't open and gives me a message of an invalid format.

It sounds like you made your boot disk on a bad floppy You will have to create another. My suggestion would be to go to www.bootdisk.com to get the software to make another.

since i can't get into red hat i installed caldera 2.3 instead. it installed successfully and i could boot into it after installation since caldera does not need a reboot afer install.

i installed LILO into the MBR and STILL after restarting the computer i just go straight into win2k. i just can't boot into ANY linux distros wherever i install LILO.
