How are you setting up your partitions within Disk druid?

Are you running autoboot.bat from msdos or windows? It must be run from msdos not from an msdos window in windows.

I'm running autoboot.bat in msdos not a dos window within windows.

The error comes up at different times sometimes when I'm selecting the language, sometimes the keyboard type, sometimes at the install type menu. Often it happens in disk druid and it doesn't give me a chance to create any partitions. All I'll do is press a key and then it comes up, then I have to restart the computer

Are you always recieving the exact same error?
Have you ever experienced trouble with your cd-rom (drive) before?
Check for errors on any of the other tty:s, press <alt> + lef or right arrow key, to cycle through them.
If you are ysing graphical installation use <ctrl> + <alt> + <f1> then cycle using <alt> + right arrow key.
