Question

I'm just interested... it has a funny name but according to their website it's a Linux distro that's designed to be easy. Does anyone here use it? Could somebody please tell me what kind of distro it is? Is it rpm based? Is it good/easy/etc.?

I'm just curious to know about it. Yes, it's the name why I'm interested. Funny to name a Linux distro like that.

The only part of your question that I can answer is this:

The name is related to the fact that the Corporate offices are 4 blocks away from the Microsoft main campus.

Yep, that is all we need, another company trying to make Linux easier with their own distro, only 4 blocks away from Microsoft Headquarters. Why can't they just help out the others like Mandrake or any other to make it easier. I think this is one reason why Linux is on hold on taking over the desktop!

I tried out Redmond Linux some time ago, and to be honest, it was the most simple installer I've ever seen (except for DOS), including configuring your system _during_ the pkg install and playing a game (!) when you're done configging. Didn't really test the base system though...
