I am setting up a home/office network and want to know what apps to use for instant messaging on an intranet. I think Yahoo messenger and AOL could be redirected to the local server, but I have not come across this info in any articles. Anyone have any pointers?

I want to be able to have Win3.1/95 clients, Mac clients, linux diskless clients, linux pcs to be able to send instant messages to any other client on the network.

thanks

Daniel

Have a look around at http://www.freshmeat.net for programs which deal with network messaging. I'm afraid I dont know anymore than that.
