BIND DNS and port 1038

Hi,

I have a question on BIND DNS. My BIND is version 9, but I find that it will open a UDP at port 1038, is it normal ? Since I just know DNS will open a UDP port on 53.

Are these just returns from incoming queries or is port 1038 always used? I've not set up bind9 yet, so I'll be watching this thread...

The port is always existed. The following is the information from netstat -nap

udp 0 0 0.0.0.0:1038 0.0.0.0:* 12606/named
