Can anybody tell me how I might go about getting RH 7.0 to "autologin."

This is a feature of Mandrake 7.2 called "default user." During the install, if you are the only person who uses your machine, you can request to become the default user, and the machine will bypass any login sequences. It'll just start-up gnome or kde.

Boom! Instant functionality. I just want that one little extra convenience. Can anybody help me out? I already bought RH 7.0, and I'd just rather cope with that than having to install Mandrake 7.2 for that one little thing.

Since you have BOUGHT redhat, you get tech support as part of buying redhat linux. I would suggest you either call them up or fire up an email. they should be able to help out.

Well, don't call Redhat or email them, there is no need for that or what would be the point of this forum.

It looks as if the autologin is part of Mandrake Power Pack edition, and it is their own program utility.
You can download it here: http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/72/...&s=./autologin
You might be able to download it, compile it and run it, but you will have to check out Mandrake for any other information about it since I couldn't find it anywhere else.
