Boot Disk

I have installed redhat last night on its own partition, was on a dos before hand, i write over my boot disk 2 days ago and said to myself that i would create another when i got the new partition, i did not set up lilo, as i have win2k advanced server and i also forgot to create a boot disk. On the CD there is a image but it wont fit on a floppy, what do i do to boot into redhat?

Where can you create a bootDisk from the CD?

If you go to images boot image this is in redhat 7 CD ROM.

Here is how you can create a boot disk under DOS from the Redhat cdrom:

C:\> d:
D:\> cd \dosutils
D:\dosutils> rawrite
Enter disk image source file name: ..\images\boot.img
Enter target diskette drive: a:
Please insert a formatted diskette into drive A: and
press --ENTER-- : Enter
D:\dosutils>

And within Linux you can do this:

# dd if=boot.img of=/dev/fd0 bs=1440k

That should get you a boot disk for Redhat.

Tried that but that brings up the screen for installation, i want to boot into my linux system cause i did not make a boot disk.

was that in windows or linux it brought the screen up to install? we understand you need to boot into linux with a boot disk, if you follow the directions from within dos, it never fails, well for me it hasn't. make sure your not booting to the cdrom upon bootup.

i need some clarification though.

Did as you said through Dos booted from floppy with out cd in drive an it brought up a instll screen, probably done somethin stupid? Thanks for the advice, installed again and made sure i made a boot floppy this time, LOL.
