Sendmail host/domain problem.

When I send mail from a RH6.2 server, it includes the hostname in the domain string of the mail, eg:

If I send one as 'user' from

'host.domain.com'

it SHOULD only read as being from

'user@domain.com'

but instead it reads as being from

'user@host.domain.com

which is the problem. I've not had too much luck trying to resolve this

any help greatly appreiated!

Edit your sendmail.cf file. It'll either be located in the /etc subdirectory or the /etc/mail subdirectory. Change the line that reads:

Dj$w.hostname.com

to

Djhostname.com
