Unable to upgrade rpm

I've got a new redhat 6.2 installation, and am trying to upgrade a variety of packages, starting with RPM itself. I've got the rpm-4.0.2-6x.i386.rpm package downloaded, but when I try to update it, I get the following message:
"libdb-3.1.so is needed by rpm-4.0.2-6x"

I've searched for a while, but I can't seem to find where this library comes from. Does this ring any bells?

Thanks,
C

You will need to install another rpm that puts libdb-3.1.so in /lib/ before doing this.

That much is clear. But I can't seem to find out *which* package(s) contains this shared library. Do you know which?

Thanks

Finally I found it. I needed to install db3-3.1.14-0.3.6x.i386.rpm which I found on the rpm.org ftp server. The 3.1.17 version will not install with rpm 3.x, but the 3.14 version will.

After installing this package, I was able to install rpm 4.0.2.
