hello
i installed NIS server and client. from client server user is able to login thro' cui. his name and passwd hasbeen authenticated by NIS server.
but the same starts startx some authority error is coming
pls guide inthis regard
i want to have centralised user accounts with gui support
like NT domain logon
pls some help me

Is the client able to login through the command line?
I had a similar problem before. The server authenticated the user, but could not start an X session for them. We were able to log them in through the command line, just not in GUI. We figured out it was due to an NFS problem on the client.
