do you mean as with playing sound? wouldn't that be hardware as if you want to play cd's, there as to be a direct line from the sound card to the cdrom for them to play music, if i am not mistaken. unless you have a sound card that can support two different connections to play cd's, then i am unsure how to do this, unless you were meaning something totally different.
I don't have a soundcard, it got fried and I'm just waiting to get a new one. Meanwhile, I'm using the headphone jacks to connect to an amp.
Both CD's work okay with files but only the Sony(the master drive) is recognized by the Gnome CD player.
i think by default it only recognizes the first master cdrom as the main cdrom within Gnome. not sure about this though and setting it up to work with both. i have two as well but use my main one and never thought about testing the other if it works.
if i come up with something, i will let you know, unless someone beats me to it.
