First off, i have a Diamond Stealth S540 gfx card, with an AGP interface and the S3 chipset, however the SaX thing with my SuSE linux refuses to see it...any ideas anyone? i'm fed up of using this crappy 1 meg pci one

next, me sound card...i have an SB Live! 1024 with the emu10k1 chipset. I managed to load and instal the driver and i had sound working, however for some reason it didnt work when i next rebooted...and when i looked it is definately installed.

finally, i can access the internet with SuSE's YaST program, however when i try to use KDE's KPPP software, it connects but then i cant surf the internet of chat, as thoguh there was no connection...

any help will be appreciated thanks i installed SuSE linux 6.3 in monday and this is me first go at it...i'm getting there...slowly

Okay, your video card, have you tried generic drivers. Also, what version of xfree86 do you have? You might need to either get updated drivers or update xfree86.

Sound, if you have it installed and you see that it is installed, check your modules, see if you can't insmod the correct one to get it working again. Check out the Howto to go thru more detailed steps in getting it to work.

What do you mean the surf the internet of chat, like chat programs or the internet itself? If you can't surf the internet in general, it might be your DNS entries or you need to check your resolv.conf file and add them in.
