    G1: Current consumption.

I have a G1 recently restored from a backup, and I am suspicious it's burning power.
I have a 2000mAh battery, which normally runs through 20-40% depending on usage. Now the phone often feels warm, and the battery burns 50-80% per day for the same usage. The phone feels unusually warm. A power-off seems to sort it, but a reboot only sometimes does.

    Settings/About phone /Battery Usage shows
    Standby 38% - 43%
    WiFi 26%
    Display 18% (On brightest setting)
    Phone Idle 14%
    Android System 4%.

When the phone is warm, Standby is rock steady at 57% and all the others are smaller. How can I find the cpu frequency?
cat /proc/cpuinfo |grep -i mhz gives me nothing.

Any ideas what the problem is? It could be a setting - I just don't work with it enough to know my way around.

Would enabling swap have anything to do with it?

    Closing this:
There is some pseudo random thing about the cpu not slowing back down, from what I gather. Reboot does not solve it. Power off does.
