use ad-hoc wifi hotspot on Jellybean?
Hi I have a "CMX Rapax" Android tablet with 4.1, WLAN only, i.e. it has no 3G.
Out and about, I've tried to connect to connect it to a WLAN-hotspot from my phone.
My phone is a Nokia N900 with Maemo, and it can serve as WLAN hotspot through 2 different appliactions.
However, that WLAN hotspot I think is not infrastructure- mode, but ad-hoc network.
My android tablet never detects the hotpsot at all, so my guess is Andorid just has no support for connecting to an ad-hoc network.
Is that correct, or maybe I have overlooked something?
Thanks, Ben

By default, android doesn't current support ad-hoc networks. If your tablet is rooted, however, you do have a couple options I believe.
