Android owners will soon have a way to locate their lost devices. Later this month, Google will release a new app called Android Device Manager, which will allow Android users to track down their devices on a map in real time, active their ringer, and even wipe their contents. It'll be available for all devices running Android 2.2 and up — which, at 98.7 percent of devices, is just about everyone — and will require being hooked up to a Google account. The move is a long time coming for Google, which hasn't been quick to provide the same types of robust device recovery tools as Apple has for iOS devices.
